COGA is Coloma’s alumnae association. The acronym stands for Coloma Old Girls’ Association but don’t take the description literally as you don’t have to be old to join our organisation! Anyone who has been a pupil of Coloma is eligible to join our club. Whether you left this year or thirty years ago, there is no difference and you will be very welcome.
Each year we hold a reunion at the school. It’s a great opportunity to hook up with old friends and make new contacts and we invite past and present members of Coloma’s teaching staff to join us too. The day includes luncheon and tours of the school. Past pupils are always just as amazed to find the things that haven’t changed as well as the features that have been added, updated, or developed.
Coloma is a successful leading Catholic comprehensive girls’ school and continues to strive for high standards; however, it’s voluntary aided so it needs to finance some of the money needed to keep providing fantastic opportunities for its pupils. We try to do our bit too so we raise funds for the school through various initiatives.
In 2018 we are breaking with tradition by holding our reunion on Saturday 28 April. In the past, this event has always been held on the second Saturday in May. Over the years the academic exam period has spread into May as well as June and so May now proves more difficult for the school. We need to take the pressure off limited resources so we’ve changed the date. Put the new date in your diary now and tell all your friends.
