Coloma Convent Girls’ School has been named as the top school in Croydon, according to research conducted by the Real School’s Guide 2018.
The school, which is located on Upper Shirley Road, nearly made it into the top 100 schools national with a score of 70.7, making it the 133rd best secondary school in the country.
This is a huge improvement on 2017, when it got a score of 64.9, which made it the 325th best school nationally.
It also received five stars in the four separate criteria of Attainment, Progress, Attendance and Outcomes.
The main difference from last year was that in 2017, the school was given an outcomes rating of two, which has this year increased to the best possible rating of five stars.
This gave it a five-star overall rating.
