Coloma runs a one-week timetable consisting of 6 periods of 50-minute lessons per day, totalling in a 30 period, 25 hours of subject teaching per week. The school day begins at 8.15am.
We also have two tutor periods per day; 20 minutes between 10 and 10.40 and a session of 10-25 minutes from Years 7-11 between 2.50 and 3.20pm
In the Sixth Form, each A Level & L3 BTEC course consists of 6 lessons per week, each lesson being 50 minutes long. In addition to this, Students also have 1 lesson of PSHE, 1 lesson of Religious Studies and 2 periods of PE/volunteering. All other timetabled slots require attendance at supervised study sessions in computer suites.
The curriculum is reviewed on an annual basis with option blocks being generated according to demand rather than a pre-determined subject combination at KS4 & KS5.
