Year 12 Law & Politics students visited the Royal Courts of Justice in early March. After a Guided Tour around the Courts, they participated in a question and answer sessions with five judges which was filmed. The recording is now being made into a mini documentary to be shared with the rest of the judiciary to demonstrate an activity that can be done to encourage wider participation in legal professions.
This event is part of an initiative called Open Justice which is aimed at helping students understand how the legal system operates and to assist in changing stereotypes that may exist about those who work in law. It was particularly appropriate that Coloma students were participating in this event on International Women’s Day.
