Please note that the deadline for completion of the Admissions Administration Document for        September 2026 Year 7 applications is Friday 31 October 2025.

We are delighted that you are considering Coloma Convent Girls’ School for your daughter to join our community in September 2026.

Coloma welcomes applications from throughout the community, regardless of faith or background; however, where there are more applicants than available places, the oversubscription criteria in our Admissions Policy will be applied.

To apply for a place at Coloma, please review the information below. It will guide you through our admissions process and outline the steps needed to complete your application.

In accordance with the School Admissions Code 2021, The Local Governing Committee, has determined the admission arrangements for Years 7 to 11 and Sixth Form entry to Coloma in the academic year 2026-2027

How To Apply For Your Place

To apply for your place at Coloma Convent Girls' Schhol log into your eAdmissions portal and complete the Local Authority's Common Application From (CAF)

If you have additional information that is relevant for the application, such as documents to evidence being part of a particular faith group, please also complete the Admissions Administration Document and upload any evidence (for example, Certificates of Baptism/Dedication, a letter from your Faith Leader on headed paper or a Certificate of Catholic Practice completed by your Parish Priest).

Please note that Certificate of Catholic Practice forms are only available from your Parish Priest. The school does not issue these forms.

Information requested on this form is only used if the school is over-subscribed and there is a need to apply the over-subscription criteria. That ranking will determine the order in which offers of places are made.

How To Accept Your Place

National Offer Day 2026 is Monday 2nd March 2026. Please accept the place your child has been offered as soon as possible.

Accepting a place does not influence the outcome of a request to go onto a Waiting List or Admissions Appeal in any way, but ensures that your child will have a school place in September.

Please ensure that you accept the place offered to you through the local authority eAdmissions portal.

If you have already made an application to us and Coloma was a higher preference than the one you have been offered, the Local Authority will automatically add you onto our waiting list. If Coloma was a lower preference, please contact your Local Authority and ask that your child is added to our waiting list.

If you have not applied to us previously, you need to notify your local authority that you wish to be added onto our waiting list and complete a Admissions Administration Document to ensure that any additional information is taken into account.

Pleasse note that it is not possible to make further offers for Year 7 until we have received notification from the local authorities of the outcome of all offers made on National Offer Day, which is usually after the Easter Holidays.

To apply for an in year place in current years 7 - 11, please complete the Admissions Administration Document and upload any documents you feel may assist us to apply the oversubscription criteria. You may wish to also seek advice from your Local Authority Admissions Department.

Admissions appeals

If your daughter has not been offered a placed at Coloma Convent Girls’ School you have the right to appeal to an Independent Appeal Panel. This right applies in respect of all applications for all Year Groups.

If you decide to appeal you will need to think about:

  • Coloma’s published admission policy as 2025-26 or 2026-27 Determined Admissions Arrangements;
  • The reasons for wanting your daughter to attend Coloma;
  • The alternative schools available.

How do I make an appeal?

The contact email for appeals is admissions.appeals@coloma.co.uk

An appeal form will be sent to you. All paperwork must be completed and returned by the date stipulated.

The Panel will be given a copy of your original application and any other paperwork that you have submitted. You can add to this information on your appeal form and attach any documents in support of your case. Any additional paperwork should be provided in advance as it will not be possible for the Panel to consider additional submissions on the day of the hearing.

Monday 3rd March 2025 (evening)  Parents and carers notified of secondary school application outcomes.
From Monday 3rd March 2025 (evening) Parents and carers whose applications to Coloma have been unsuccessful, and who would like to be placed on the waiting list and/or to request information on how to appeal, are asked to email admissions.appeals@coloma.co.uk
From Tuesday 4th March 2025 The admission authority will begin to provide written confirmation of the reason why an application was unsuccessful to parents and carers who wish to appeal (appellants).
Friday 9th May 2025 Deadline for appellants to lodge written appeals setting out grounds for appeal.
At least 10 days before Deadline for the admission authority to notify appellants of the appeal hearing date and time.
By the end of June 2025 Appeal hearings. Appellants will be allocated a specific date and time for their individual appeal hearings.
Within 7 calendar days of the individual hearings, wherever possible Deadline for dispatch of decision letters.
