COGA is Coloma’s alumnae association. The acronym stands for Coloma Old Girls’ Association but don’t take the description literally as you don’t have to be old to join our organisation! Anyone who has been a pupil of Coloma is eligible to join our club. Whether you left this year or thirty years ago, there is no difference and you will be very welcome.
Each year we hold a reunion luncheon at the school. 2019 will see the 150th anniversary of Coloma so we plan to make our annual reunion very special. The event will be held on Saturday 27 April. Save the date in your diary and tell your old Coloma friends. Make 2019 the year you choose to come back to renew contact with people you haven’t seen for years.
The COGA committee is in the throes of planning a day packed with hospitality and entertainment. The occasion will start at 11.30am with Mass in the school chapel for those who wish to attend. A Prosecco and canapé reception will commence at 12 noon. Luncheon will follow at 12.45pm. The afternoon will begin with short formalities including our brief Annual General Meeting and the presentation of the Maureen Martin OBE/COGA Award to a current Year 9 pupil who has gone above and beyond the call of duty. At 3 o’clock there will be a showcase of talent from Coloma past pupils who have offered to provide us with entertainment. The event finale will be afternoon tea and cakes when we will draw the raffle – all the proceeds will go to help Coloma with providing great education for its current pupils. The day will close at 5.30pm.
This packed day will only cost £28 per person and the price includes a welcome drink, canapés, luncheon with a choice of hot main course and a dessert plus a glass of wine, an afternoon of entertainment plus afternoon tea and cakes and a display of Coloma memorabilia. The only extras you may need to budget for will be purchasing raffle tickets and extra drinks as there will be a cash bar available.
The ticket includes much more than just lunch. It’s a whole day of food, drink and entertainment. We are very grateful for all the tremendous help the Coloma staff team provide with organising such a special experience for the school’s alumnae.
Past pupils who wish to attend will need to be members of COGA. The annual membership subscription of £7 should be paid at the same time as booking your place at the reunion. Download and complete THIS FORM to secure your seat and subscribe to membership. Everything you need to know about the event is included in an information sheet which can be downloaded HERE.
We are anticipating large numbers this year with such a special anniversary and there is a limited capacity, so make sure you book early to avoid disappointment.
