Coloma Student Heads to Yale

Simone Eligon, a Head Student of Coloma Convent Girls’ School, will not be collecting her A Level results in person today since she has already left the UK to take up a place at Yale University in the USA. Simone has been awarded a scholarship to study at the famous Ivy League University, majoring in English Literature.

In addition to her exceptional academic talents, Simone is a talented footballer, having played for both the Chelsea and Millwall Lionesses academies. She will be joining the Yale squad later this year as their goalkeeper, which will be a fantastic addition to her academic studies. She is excited to be embarking on her life-changing opportunity to play sport and study at the highest level.

Headteacher of Coloma, Mrs Jackie Johnson, said, “We are very proud of Simone’s many achievements, including her AAA in English Literature, Geography & History and she leaves Coloma with our heartiest congratulations and a fond farewell.”
