On Friday 6th March, year 8 took part in a PSHE day with the theme of keeping healthy.
The day started with 2 of our local dentists delivering a session on oral hygiene. The students had sessions on 1st response and burns from St John’s Ambulance and the Red Cross. They also had a session delivered by the health and social care 6th form students where each student got to try CPR on individual mannequins.
Alongside first aid, the girls spent a session exploring different types of period products including reusables, which help tackle plastic waste.
The healthy bodies was balanced with a session on mental health and exam anxiety to round off the day on keeping healthy.
